To Kiss Her Lips And Take Her Hands

From The Song of Wandering Aengus

 William Butler Yeats

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

How's Your Wife?

Ever since July of 2011, when Valerie became bed-bound, people are always asking  how Valerie is doing. I say, well she's stable, and eating well.

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words right, and I'm a little tired right now to say any more....

Still Valerie

...nobody plans to get Alzheimer’s when they’re 55.”

Valerie was 57 when diagnosed on July 14, 2008...it was most definitely not something we planned for.
The neurologist was actually in tears when he gave us the diagnosis. Valerie's response was strange, she acted with the proper sense of "oh my god", but as if it were happening to someone else, not her.

I'm happy that Julianne Moore won the Oscar for her performance. It may help others who may not be planning for this to happen to them.
